Greetings and Jai Hind.
Please note that I am getting messages from one Cmde. K.N. Bhagat,
Secretary of Willingdon Club in Mumbai, who is not clarifying whether
he is a serving officer of the Indian Navy or retired, and is instead
trying to claim that it is nobodys business but his own.
It is my humble submission that this is a serious mis-representation,
and that suitable action be taken by the Indian Navy in this context,
since the rules on how retired Armed Forces officers present
themselves to the public are very clear and known.
Needless to state, misrepresentation by retired officers can and has
led to serious consequences, much reported in the media lately. For
example, here is one not much reported
I shall also be following up with Ministry of Defence as well as PG
Cell of PMO in this context, as well as by RTI.
Email exchanged are enclosed.
Sincerely,
Veeresh Malik

Dear Shri Malik,
1. It must not be your concern whether I am serving or retired as long
as you get response to your email.
2. As far as intimation is concerned, on the contrary, the tone and
tenor of your mail is very intimidating.
3. You seem to be extremely well informed about the laws of the land,
however, our response to your demand stands the same as intimated to
you earlier.
